THE LAMORNA SOCIETY

The Archive

The Lamorna Society has an impressive archive which was started in 1998.

The purpose of the Archive reflects the aims and objectives of the Lamorna Society, which encourages us to get together to enjoy, to preserve, to share and to publicise the art, artefacts and history of Lamorna and the artists of West Cornwall. The archive can be viewed at a member's house in Newlyn, Cornwall.

It is fully catalogued on a data base which is available to members on a CD for £5. (Or, recently, on a floppy disc for £3.)

Click on Content of the Archive if you want to find out about the categories covered in the archive.
Click on A Glimpse into the Archive, 1890 if you want to view a recent selection of archive material chosen by the archivist.

Note: members of the Society are now able to search through an indexed listing of what is in the archive to see if there is something of particular interest to them.
