he Objectives of the Lamorna Society are to:

 

• Enjoy the creative output of the Lamorna Valley - its art, poetry and literature, together with its social and natural history.
• Enjoy places, people and things associated with S.J. Lamorna Birch and his circle and to construct a Lamorna archive.

he Society offers:

• A bi-annual Newsletter, - 'The Flagstaff' published twice yearly in June and December.
• Social events throughout the year.
• The chance to meet with, and to exchange information with, other members.
• Reasonably priced membership at: £15 p.a. for an individual, £23 p.a. for a couple or family. To contact the Society - perhaps to raise a query about a picture painted by an artist in the Newlyn School/Lamorna Valley, go to the contact page ..., or to join download an application form and send it by post together with a cheque...
• Information on events of interest to members. e.g. the film 'Summer in February' has now been finished. A Lamorna story comes to the big screen, and features events in the life of Sir Alfred Munnings, who made a controversial speech when President of the Royal Academy in 1949. See this link for a recent article that appeared in The Standard.
